Hi Guys,I'mt rying to help out as friend with this one and hoping someone can help with this problem.

He's got got a Fujitsu Siemens Li1818 Laptop, with an Intel® Graphic Media Accelerator 950 PCI Express graphics card with up to 128MB shared VGA memory and Direct X9 support........blah blah blah.
When he connects the laptop to a 17" LCD Monitor with a standard D-Sub VGA Cable, it works fine, but when he connects it to his 32" Samsung he gets a black screen. The Samsung TV knows its getting a signal because if he unplugs the VGA cable the TV displays 'No Signal', if he plugs it back in, 'No Signal' disappears and he gets a black screen again.
He is pretty good with PCs etc., but has spent hours on this, installed powerstrip, installed different drivers, upgarded the bios, installed different Operating Systems, including Vista (GASP!) and scanned hundreds of websites, but no one seems to have an answer - not even Fujitsu Siemens themselves can/will help.
So if anyone can reccommend ANYTHING that he can try, I would be really grateful.

Thanks in advance for any responses/suggestions.

Are you sure the problem is not with the TV or the VGA cable instead?
