| before you think 'oh noes its in the wrong section' hold on for a sec ;)... its fo my new laptop when she arrives. i brought her mainly to do college work etc on but i wanted it to be able to play some games too rough spec: Core 2 DuoT7250 (2x 2,0ghz) 800mhz FSB/2mb L2 cache 2 gig corsair 667mhz ram 80gb S-ATA II 8mb cache 5400rpm 512mb Geforce 8600GT +D-SUB + TV-OUT and a few tricks along side that just wondering how much it will decreace my gaming performance if i run vista on a laptop of this spec? my origional plan was just to run XP PRO but iv been using vista o my mates lappy for a week and im starting to fall in love with it ..it seems to run alot faster than XP too which is a bonus so any thoughts? |

| Gaming performance will be reduced when using Vista no matter what your specs are.

| the 8600gt card is a gooden i have it in my desktop, works well with vista 2gb ram, depending on your last computer you yourself will see a difference either way its going to be good for games but not future proof, will struggle on high settings for crysis etc
