I don't know much about phones but if you want a good camera the mp doesn't really matter, the quality of the lens does.

If you want a good camera, get a good camera.

I've never been impressed with phone cameras except for Sony Ericsson's kit but then I haven't used everything.

Also have a look at the Blackberry Storm and HTC Touch HD. Both high end touch screen phones. Used both and they seem pretty slick, cant vouch for photo quality though. A google will normally bring up some example camera shots.

Please please please don't but the Blackberry Storm.

Unlike all of the other fantastic Blackberry products, the Storm is the biggest piece of crap ever.

The touch screen is clumsy and useless, the interface gets annoying after a few days, it takes hours to do seeming quick tasks. It crashes as and when it feels like it.

Honestly, the one I 'upgraded' to on contract has gone straight on eBay and I am back to the N95.

I made a rather large profit as well selling it, some poor bloke on the other end has payed a lot of money for that piece of junk.

mobile phones do not have good camera's period.

having said that, my nokia 6500 slide has a decent camera as far as phones go. its easily better than a LG viewty despite having less mp, this of course comes back to the lens.

even you are able to find a phone that takes a decent photo of a stationary subject, good luck finding one with decent auto focus that can take images of moving subjects.
