| ...double the speed to 112K? I'll be more specific here... So... I get another modem and another ISP dailup account and i dail up both of the 56K modems. Will there be any increase? |

| The basic answer is no it will not double your speed. You need special software that balances the two different connections together and that is not included in Windows. There might be custom third party software that might do this but I am not sure what they are.WIth that said you might want to look at devices like the: "Ramp Networks WebRamp M3" which has 3 modems and will load balance the traffic giving you enhanced speed up to ~170K. I have used them in the past and they work great. Of course I am assuming you want to do this because you cannot get DSL or Cable internet where you are located because the cost of multiple phone lines bundled with the interest ISP account cost seems excessive in comparison. |
