I currently have a laptop which is wireless and works perfectly, however I have recently purchased another one for my daughter's Christmas and I m currently setting it up for her. I can get it connected but not wireless the ethernet light does not light up
When starting up it says that wireless connections are detected however when I click on connect it says windows is unable to connect to the selected network The network may no longer be in range . i find this very confusing as my other laptop is going wireless no bother. I am no computer expert but welcome any ideas/suggestions on what to do,thank you

go to start then right click my computer, go to manage in the context menu, click device manager and make sure the ethernet adapter is enabled. try resetting your modem.
