Hey guys,
I just got a new computer and I am an avid gamer. I am suffering from spikes in my internet so I really effects me. Problem When i am playing the game (DotA/HoN) I get a lag/pause every minute for a few seconds. Background Info OS: Windows XP 32 bit Processor: AMD Athalon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ MMX, 3Dnow, (2 CPUs) Memory:3328MB RAM VideoCard: ATI radeon HD 4650 memory:512mb Wireless Reciever: Dlink WUA-1340 Wireless Router: Westell A90 9100EM15-10 Wireless Signal: Excellent ![]() One thing i noticed is when I run a ping test in CMD (ping -t www.google.com) my ping spikes to a crazy number like 900 exactly every 65 lines but everything in between is a constant 20-25ms. I tried switching wireless recievers and I weilded simliar results from speedtest but the ping test through cmd showed a spike every thirty seconds at around 900 ms aswell I also tried running both tests on my laptop and I get the same speedtest results and I get no spikes whatsoever when i run the test through cmd. Any help would be appreciated! |
