Default Access point question

If i have a wireless card stuck in one of the PCI slots in my motherboard, can i use the LAN port on the motherboard and make my computer act as an access point for the xbox i want to put next to my computer? I've heard of someone doing this and I would like to know if
A) it's possible
and B) how to do it because this would be a great alternative to buying an AP.

Default Access point question

Yes, you can. The Xbox 360 offers a wired internet connection so you just connect that to the computer and setup the computer to share the connection it recieves via the wireless card.

Post back if you don't know how to do that, although I'm sure there's plenty of other topics covering it.

I don't think i know how to do that...but you're right it seems to be relatively simple (hopefully...things that should be simple rarely are.) requiring a tweak here or there

Ok, I just had a look at my 360, and the wired option is a standard Ethernet connection, so on that side of things you just need an Ethernet cable.
