i recently bought a Belkin Wireless G card for my computer. Having done that, i had to redo several things in the network. My computer is only part of the network and not the head hancho of the thing. When i sign on, it connects within several seconds. I have excellent signal strength, but after every couple minutes, it reaquires the network address. This gets very frusturating while playing online games, texting, etc. Any ideas?

I have recently had loads of problems with my WIFI but i suppose yours is PCI
MIne is USB
Did you get drivers with it? If you did have you properly installed them?
If not try a system restore!

No, it is Wifi. And i know a little bit about computers, but seeing as im 18, not bundles, so you may have to clarify a little. The only things that came in the box were the card itself, which i installed onto the motherboard, and a cd that i had to run with it as well. The driver was the part i wasnt sure about. Something the cd put on maybe? But its been a while and things have calmed down, but from time to time now, possibly once every 6 hours, it will go out, and i can correct this by restarting my computer. Another thing, certain sites seem to make it cut out and even freeze my whole computer to the point i cant move the mouse and have to turn off the power to the power supply in the back. As soon as i turn the power supply back on and turn on my computer its fine. The only ones i can think of is when i go to view peoples pictures on myspace, or to listen to music on myspace. Probably somethan with myspace?

It sounds like your networking protocols could be corrupted. Not something that happens very often, but if your drivers are installed properly, and it keeps trying to acquire an ip address, I'd try that. In you network properties, write down what all is installed. Then, uninstall them all, and restart. When you get back in, reinstall those same protocols and then reinstall your drivers for the network card. Make sure you go to device manager to do that. That should uninstall and renew everything with your network connections.

Tell you what you could try!
Go into your network list and right click on the network you try to connect to!
then click properties, after that click internet protocol in the list, then get a static IP, do you know how to do that?
The DHCP might be confused
