Default Best Brand For Vista Compatability

I've been using netgear products throughout my Wireless network withotuh itch. however, I'm going to be getting a new computer with Vista installed and I've heard that Netgear and Vista don't really mix. Is this true? If it is, which brands work best? TIA Michael...

Most stuff should be fine now.

Also routers are not OS dependant so it doesn't matter.

No, what I was meaning is that the software/drivers required for the Netgear adapters don't work on vista - it won't install them.
I think the best one to go for is Linksys.

If I could, I'd stick with netgear throughout to enuse compatability, but I'm not willing to risk it with Vista

Netgear WPN111s x2, though I'd obviously be getting a new one -draft N probably- to go with the new computer.

Router is a Netgear DG834PN

If you want to get new stuff I always recommend D-Link. I find them the most reliable.

It's irrelevant now, the computer shop are taking care of it. They're using the bits I spec'd, but only cos my dad wouldn't let me do it.

Stuck with Netgear, the guy said that the chances of problems were small and not as bad as I'd thought.
