I was wondering if there was a way to make my computer utilize its network capability better.

If you go into the task manager and go to network it can show you exactly how fast your speed can go, and how much you are using.

Right now im at around 3% is there a way to boost that to say, 100%?

thanks!

When copying from PC to PC you will utilize 100%. Using the Internet your network is much much faster than your broadband so that is why it is low.

Right and your network speed is much faster, if you want to speed up and use more of your network bandwidth then get faster broadband.

It makes plenty of sense. Your LAN is up to a gigabit of bandwidth. Unless you have a T1 line running into your house there's no way you can touch that.

That doesnt really make sense to me. What im getting out of it is:
your network is fast if you want to make more use of your network, get a faster one.

Which is redundant

Im asking if there is a way to use more of my current network.

No, what we're saying is your network is fast if you want to make more use of your network, get a faster internet connection. As much data as can be sent is being sent, the bottleneck is not the LAN but your connection.

It's quite simple. Data travels down your Internet pipe then into your network. So lets use the max speed of your Internet being 5 and the speed of your network being 50. So currently when you're maxing out your Internet download connection, your internal network still has 45 units free. So the ONLY way to max out your internal network is to get 9 more Internet connections and max them all out.
