| ...D-Link DI 524 router with an ethernet cable? 2 wifi for dif. flrs? i want to have 2 wi fi zones for 1st and 2nd floor of our house since it can not be served by just 1 router |

| Yes, though you only need one router and an access point or bridge. Router send packets to the appropriate computer and can assign IP addresses either dynamically (DHCP) or statically. You only need one but you can disable this function in the second and get the results you are seeking. However I would recommend you read some user reviews of the DI 624 if you haven't purchased it. (I've used many D-Link products and found them satisfactory until I got a DI 624) You can find some at www.newegg.com. I had one and eventually replaced it as the signal would just drop off and I'd lose connection. I'd have to reboot it. Got a Linksys and the problem went away. |
