| I just switched to a different router after the old one died. This router is being powered by the old routers power supply....same voltage but lower Ampage. The old router was wired only whereas this 'new' router is wireless, hence the shortfall in current on the power supply. I am still only using a wire connection. They are both D-Link routers. I can connect to the internet through the router which appears to power up fine but I cant find a way of accessing it's settings. I have tried all the usual suspects: 192.168.0.1 etc. Here are the details of my connection Physical Address: 00-0B-E0-F0-00-ED IP Address: 82.21.101.111 Subnet Mask: 255.255.252.0 Default Gateway: 82.21.100.1 DHCP Server: 62.253.131.54 Lease Obtained: 27/05/2009 17:26:47 Lease Expires: 03/06/2009 15:40:57 DNS Servers: 194.168.4.100, 194.168.8.100 WINS Server: I am just being routed directly to my ISP Gateway with no sign of my router. I did a tracert to the default gateway above and there was no sign of the router. Do you think the power supply is the issue? |

| try typing this - 82.21.100.1 in IE/Firefox etc. thats your default gateway, which if the pc is connected to the router directly, is your router. |
