Hello, I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop A300, and for some reason, when I started the laptop up today, I had no wireless internet connection, my wireless switch is on, and it wont even detect any networks. I ran a few tests and one showed that "Software Radio" is off? I had reinstalled my drivers and everything and its still not working?

This is a more common issue with Toshiba and HP laptops than you may think. It can be remedied but often requires installing a new card or having the old one fixed under warranty.
The quickest simplest fix is to get a PCMIA or EXPRESS or USB network card. It will act as an external network adapter. Thus, allowing you to access the internet. Additionally, you may try using a system restore on your machine to revert it back to previous settings when the card functioned. Before going to that extreme, you may want to check all the settings against the manufacturers recommendations and make sure that its connected properly and with the correct settings. If you would like further help with this, feel free to PM me and I can give you some more tips or pointers. |
