I can't seem to access some file sharing sites like mediafire and 4shared without using a proxy server (displays "page cannot be displayed" or other errors, but I can access them fine with proxy). I am in China for vacation, and I am currently using the same laptop that I used back in Canada. It could be due to some Chinese restrictions I heard. I have two questions:
- Is there a way to get around this Chinese government restriction on access to foreign sites? - Is there a way to download files using a proxy (when I try to download, it simply steers back to the proxy home page)? Thanks. |

China block Chinese IPs, so using a non-Chinese proxy is your only option really.

As stated I can access those sites easily with a proxy, however I cannot download any files using a proxy as it simply links back to the proxy home page. Is there a working proxy that allows me to download files?
