Hmmm, strange. Ok, try disabling it then re-enable it, and see if you can connect to the internet. What browser are you using? Firefox, IE 6, IE 7 ect.. =================== If that doesn`t work, then go to Start > Run > type in cmd > in the command prompt, type ipconfig/ flushdns Note the space between / and flushdns Are you still having problems? Regards Jason ![]()

Ok. Disconnect your modem from it`s power supply, remove all cables from the modem, and power off your pc. Wait 30 seconds and plug everything back in, and turn your computer back on. Do you still have the same problem? If yes, go to Start > Run > type in cmd in the open field > type ipconfig /renew Does the problem still exist? --------------------------- If your still unable to connect, download Winsock XP fix, and then transfer it too the computer your having trouble connecting to the internet with and then run it. If your still having problems, please let me know. Regards Jason

I don`t think it will as it`s specifically made for windows XP. Although, there is no harm in trying. Do you have a router connected ? Regards Jason.

That is very strange indeed. Is your firewall allowing incoming/outgoing connections? Regards Jason.

If I have a firewall on that computer I don't know how to access it. I am using this computer without a problem so i'm pretty sure whatever the problem is, it's the other computer.
