Default Connection/Router trouble!

Ok so I am a big fan of Battlefield 2142(Nearly first in Ireland with a Tank:) )
But every time I am playing my router shuts itself off for a second and then restarts making me lose connection!

This router is a router that was given to me by my isp so I am stuck with it(oh I have 2 of them and they do exactly the same thing)

I have change everything apart from the socket in the wall
Ok not just when gaming all the time, it just went off for a second whilst I am typing this:(
Any suggestions, questions at all or thoughts please do not hesitate to reply
Thanks
SW

Default Connection/Router trouble!

You should be able to swap it for any branded generic modem/router.

I have to use certain passwords that will only go into this type of router, like my phone number and stuff
I did try it with 2 other types of routers but they didn't have any of the same kind of set up
Strangely it seems to depend on the weather aswell, sunny bad router, dull but not stormy good router???????
It just doesn't make and sense to me at all, I think the only solution will be is to change my isp

Default Connection/Router trouble!

That's a bit odd mate, here in the UK you can use aftermarket equipment with any ISP.

Who are you with?

Thanks man, a bit lazy of me I suppose, but if you get a router from a company that is supposedly providing you with an internet service, the least it can do is work properly I would think!
I will have a little read an post some stuff in the complaints section if they have one since phoning them for the last year hasn't helped(4mb only getting 1mb) different problem lol!
