Hey whats up, I joined just for this question and i hope you guys can help :D

My friend is having connection problems with his router. I gave the model number and brand in the title. He has a wireless setup, and his hardware can detect the wireless signal, but for some reason will not connect. I have asked him to do the basic procedure: unplug and replug everything back in, make sure all cords are hooked up correctly, etc. However, nothing seems to work.

Even though its a Westell router, he called Verizon (his internet service provider) who supposedly could not help since it was not a problem involving them or something like that. My friend said he got this model from verizon when they set up his internet. Thats really all he could tell me.

Please understand, my friend knows nothing about anything related to computers. He just uses it for emailing and projects, etc. Im really surprised he knows how to email, even though I had to show him.

Can you guys please help me with this? It might just be a simple problem because this guy is not proficient with technology like this....I would help him but I'm out of town for a couple weeks.
