Hi all,
Sorry for the rookie question but.. I have a Dell laptop that runs windows XP.. I re-installed windows XP (for practice) with the XP disk it came with, and then installed the drivers for the laptop. I try to find the program that connects the lap top to the router, but i cant find it (it is not wireless, but i have connected to another wireless router before) I then try to connect to the router using a networking cable, but it still doesnt work. Any suggestions? Anything will help. Thanks for reading. AC |

Have you downloaded the Drivers for your exact service tag?
As you can search for drivers through your service Tag. |

That would be your problem then.
Is there any way you can access a machine with Internet access? |

Oh yes definitely..
I have 2 other desktop computers at home.. with internet access. If i download the correct drivers on the dell website (using service tag).. how will i be able to install them on my laptop? |

Do you have a USB stick? Or CD or even *shudders* a floppy Disk, however i think the floppy disk idea might be too small

Save the drivers onto the Ext. harddrive, and then connect it to your laptop. copy across onto the laptop and hay presto, install them :)
