| It might work but what exactly is the disc that came with your other machine? It may have just been a system repair disc, that can not be used for a fresh install. You would also need to ensure that all of your stuff is backed up before you installed XP. Once XP is installed, it will work just like any other XP computer, sans all of Vista's problems.

| It depends what you wan to do really. Either buy a copy of XP for 60 odd quid and install that on your Vista machine. Or stick with Vista and get used to it. If you want to go to XP we can explain the process. Hope this helps
