Helllooo

This is my very first post so I'm very sorry if I have posted it in the wrong thread but I wasn't sure where it should go

I need some advice on internet connections, i live in a student house with 4 others and our landlord has (unbeknown to us!) had our internet connection readily installed for us. Last year we had an unlimited download connection with a speed of 10mb (i do aplogise if i dont use the correct terminology) that we all used through a wireless router. Except for the odd dodgey signal in some parts of the house this seemed to suit us fine. We all download lots of music, perhaps 5-10 albums a month each as well as maybe 20 odd songs and other types of stuff we use in our work such as adobe, smart board, viedo clips and pictures files, we also use file sharing programmes. The landlord has had a connection put in with a download limit of 40gb, this will be for the 6 of us to use and i dont know whether it will be enough given our fairly heavy internet use? He hasn't told us what the speed is but I think the contract is with talk talk which would mean the speed is 8mb. He has also installed cables now so rather than using it through a wireless connection we plug it in. Will an 8mb connection be decent enough for the 6 of us to use at the same time and for reasonably quick album downloads (30mins-ish)? And also how would the download limit fair if we wanted to start downloading movies?

Any help is realllly appreciated and I am sorry if i waffled on a bit
Thanks.

Only you can answer that, only you know how much you download, add it all up and see.

As for all of you on 8MB you should be fine, it wont be much different than 10MB.
