Can you use an ethernet cable as an easy transfer wire??

or what type of wire do you use?

You can use an ethernet crossover cable, to transfer files .... this involves setting up a Network on both PCs and sharing folders and files.

Or you can use a USB transfer cable, which involves installing a piece of software on each PC.

The first option is best, but Networks can sometimes be tricky for beginners.

Just a thought .......... If you are connected with a wiress router, you could connect both PCs via this and just set up a Network .... this way would be better than a crossover cable.

It depends on your OS, if Vista, have a read here. If XP have a read here

Bear in mind that a "wired network" will be much faster,, when transferring large files etc., ...... a "wireless network" will work just the same, but slower.
