ok i used all 3 programs and none of them worked
they had no effect at all
the first program i clicked finish and it said there was nothing to fix
the second one went through the steps and i restarted - nothing
the third was the same - nothing
but those programs just did pretty much what i did before but they did them the easy way
i uninstalled tcp/ip through the registry
then put a new copy of mswsock.dll from the windows xp cd

Also have you tried turning off the firewall and other security software?

i dont know the names of the viruses
there was one main one that came with the keygenerator
but then it downloaded many others when i restarted my computer
then stuff just stopped working
i dont have any virus protection/firewall running currently
when i plug in the network cable it goes through the motions of connecting
getting the ip address but when i click advanced and look at the ip #
there is nothing there

If you can not get it working I would suggest running some scans in the Virus, spyware and security forum.
