| ok so just the other day i installed my usb wireless network adapter to see if it would make a difference. Well the adapter connects to the router and says it has 100% signal strength. Its gotta be connected because it recognizes my router network name but wont access the router i tried putting in the ip of the router but wont let me access it |

| ok so i did some reading up and i decided to copy over my tcpip.sys file with a good copy from my laptop when i went to copy the file over my computer only had a tcpip6.sys and no tcpip.sys so i copied both files over and restarted and now my computer takes like 15 minutes to start up and it runs slow as fck but now when i connect to the internet it shows and ip of 0.0.0.0 and when i hit repair it says couldnt renew ip address but the computer now show numbers under the status when it didnt before it seems to be working but its still not recieving packets |

| sry bout the second thread but im sooo close to getting this fixed it says it connects it says cant renew ip address but at least it show something in the details section now |

| * Go into Control Panel -->Network Connections. * Right click on your connection * and click Properties. * On the Properties page, highlight Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) * Click Properties. This will bring up another page. * Select Obtain DNS Server Automatically. * Click the ok button. The page will close. * Press ok on the page in front of you. * Restart the computer. * Reconnect to the Internet using Internet Explorer. |
