| I have a Netgear MIMO router setup for wireless no security (right now) and 2 computers connected to the router, 1 laptop wireless, 1 server wired. Wireless - IBM T61 laptop - Vista Business current service pak running McAafee Wired - IBM Netfinity Server - Windows Server 2003-firewall disabled. Both computers can ping and be seen on the router when I looked at attached devices, both computers have access to the internet. However, when I try to ping one computer to another, request timed out. I can't RDP to the server either. I just installed 2003 server this afternoon, yesterday I installed server 2008 on the same machine and was able to connect RDP without an issue. Any thoughts why both systems are on the network, can both ping the router, appear in the router and both have access to the internet but can't see each other? I also have them both set to DHCP from router to ensure they are on the same network and still no luck. thanks, Marcy |
