Default Filter Sites via Router???

Is there anyway i can filter sites through the network. As in i insert words that will trigger the filter. not completly block the site but thorttle it. i NEED this for my brother whos watching stupid extremist videos, no not porn, so i have an excuse. anyone???

well you could completly kick hoim off the router or filters for a whole network theres something called opendns that has filters to block sites and stuff and if you want the site to go slow (if thats what you mean by throttle) then download a bunch of leagle things? i dont know

By that do you mean its no longer a problem.. or what?

Why does it have to be directly via the router? If you downloaded a parental control program say, wouldn't that be adequate?

If its still an issue and you want a link to a free program, just post back, and I'll have a look for you.

What router do you have?

If it supports DD-WRT then you could flash it and block websites on the router. It can also filter by keywords, basically exactly what you want.
