The wep key is definitely listed in you router config under 192.168.1.1.

It will be under one of the deeper tabs like wireless security.

It IS listed in your router config.

    Below is an example.

If it is not listed it may be because you do not have security enabled.

If you haven't changed it it may well be on the side of the router itself.

What make of router is this?

It's a DLINK, the only equpment I have ever seen with the key on the side of the unit is BT's own stuff.

Ahh, I see it now in his original post.

Yep, BTs stuff has the key on the side.

It will definitely be under Wireless Settings or something of the similar.

Or, are you sure you actually have WEP turned on? That would be a reason for not seeing a key.

Also, if you are going to have security enabled, change it to WPA if you have the choice.

WEP is next to a waste of time (stupidly easy to hack).

That is your ADSL tab, try the security one, right next to it.

This is a wind-up, right? This router doesn't do Wifi, so if your PC is trying to connect at all it is trying to connect to someone else's WiFi.

So it isn't a DLINK router or even wireless, probably should have asked for the model number earlier.

    Talk about wasting our time.
