Default Helpless Female & Wireless PCI Card

I tried to install a PEAK wireless LAN card into my PC. There is only one place it will fit, but when I slid it in the slot, the PC wouldn't start. I took the card out & the PC started!!
When I put nit back in, it wont start again!!
Any ideas as to why my computer won't start when I install the card?
Sorry for being a helpless female!!
Lynn

well it sounds like the wireless card is faulty and shorting out the board, i suggest taking it back to your retailer and getting a replacment.

The wireless card is PCI right?
And the slot you are putting it into is white and the right size?
If yes and yes then as Spencer says perhaps the card is faulty.
