My daughter bought one of these and is due to get cable high speed of 512mb/s hooked up. from the specs, it looks to me like she will need a faster outboard Lan Card am I thinking correctly? If so could someone please recommend a Card she could use from Newegg? Thank You!

Your daughter is not getting 512MB/s unless she lives next to a internet backbone or something. Even the fastest consumer fiber optic connections are 50 Mbps or 6.25MB/s - there is no cable plan that you can get that maxes out a 100 Mbps Ethernet controller.

edit: Maybe a 4Mbps cable connection = 512KB/s?

Ah, I see! I guess she shouldn't need a new card then. I will be sure and let her know. Thanks Carbon!

No problem, maybe prepare for a little disappointment when she realizes she can't download an entire album in two seconds :p
