Default How do i connect my PS3 to my broadband? Am

using aztech wifi router.? With the router, i can't get an IP address at all. Am using WEP security that works on my other PC's wired and unwired.Tried connecting the ps3 straight to the modem, I was able to get an IP address but my internet connection status is "failed". I get the message "An error occurred while ... the name with the server" (80710102)My DNS are now in manual using my ISP's preferred and alternate DNS settings. Setting them in auto likewise does not solve my problem.

You should try and manually set-up the PS3 using your Subnet Masks, DNS addresses and giving it DMZ privalagesm, that's what i had to do with my router. If that fails then you could try and temporarly remove the WEP security and see if that makes any difference. I use WPA as it is meant to be more secure and less hackable.

WEP didn't bother mine, I did set up a static IP address and manually assigned DNS servers, but I also get that error from time to time
