How to find WEP wireless network key?

hi guys!!

i have my wireless network, i forget its wep key, now i want to connect to the internet with another pc but it requires WEP key. where to find my WEP. i tried 192.168.1.1 it opens my dlink router cofiguration but i can't find WEP key.

The wep key is definitely listed in you router config under 192.168.1.1.

It will be under one of the deeper tabs like wireless security.

i checked it carefully but can't find one. is it the key, that we give at the time of setting up our connection.

It IS listed in your router config.

Below is an example.

If it is not listed it may be because you do not have security enabled.

If you haven't changed it it may well be on the side of the router itself.

It's a DLINK, the only equpment I have ever seen with the key on the side of the unit is BT's own stuff.

Ahh, I see it now in his original post.

Yep, BTs stuff has the key on the side.

It will definitely be under Wireless Settings or something of the similar.

Or, are you sure you actually have WEP turned on? That would be a reason for not seeing a key.

Also, if you are going to have security enabled, change it to WPA if you have the choice.

WEP is next to a waste of time (stupidly easy to hack).

first thanks for the responses
i checked a lot but can't find. the security is on. coz it ask for wep key when i try to connect to the network. i attach a screen shot of my dlink when Advance>WAN>Quick Start is clicked.

That is your ADSL tab, try the security one, right next to it.

thanks for ur cooperation. i check the security tab also. there is not too much just two option IP Filters and LAN Isolation. i m attache both the pics. plz see and figure out for me.
suppose if there is no WEP key then why it ask for key when i try to connect with another computer. when i click on View Wireless Networks. there is a lock icon also with wireless network.
