hi this is my first time on here so hope i can get some help. i have a computer, xp it is upstairs and so is the wireless adsl router, although i have a cable attached,( hope you can understand my twittering). i am buying another computer,with vista program to put downstairs in the lounge, attached to my television. what i need to know is, how can i use the router for downstairs, or do i need to get another router and another phone point. i have a feeling there is a way to hook them up but at present i have not got a clue, can anyone help. any help appreciated, thanks, chrissy

Stick a wireless card in the downstairs computer and that's all you need to do.

this is the new computer im getting, it does say its wifi. acer aspire 160gb revo. and how would i put a wireless card in. sorry to be a pain but im totally unsure of how i would do it. would it not have one inside, as its a new one. thanks for your help, chrissy

Oh, then never mind, those nettops have built in wifi. Don't have to do anything but buy the thing then! Once you get it set up you can click network connections, find your router on the list and you'll be up and running.

hi, have received my new pc. tried to connect with router etc but it asks for my security key or passphase for talktalk. i dont seem to have any info for that, how do i get it, please help, chrissy

You should have made one when you set up the router - if not or you can't remember, reset the router (should be a button on it) and go through setup again.
