Default I need to share ADSL connection with laptop?

my pc connects to the internet by an ADSL connection with a speedtouch modem (it connects to my pc with a USB). i have a laptop that has wireless on it, i need to connect the laptop to internet without having to interchange the usb connections each time. do i have to buy a router and can i connect the modem to router by usb?can i also share my printer b/w the pc and laptop?

You need a router with adsl modem built in.

Your old modem cannot be used.

To add wireless you will need a usb adaptor for your laptop unless it has wireless ability built in.

If you have done what Dave has said than you run the network wizard on your PC and after that on your laptop. You will be questioned by the wizard regarding the sharing thing for the printer and the files.
