i recently had to buy a new motherboard
so after i formated the harddrive, reinstalled windows and installed all the drivers(properly) i cant connect to the internet it says im connected. 100 mbps but once i open i explorer "this page cant be displayed" originally i had it through a router and a 50 ft cable, so i first connected straight to the modem after that didnt fix anything i connected that cord to a different computer to make sure it wasnt the cord and i got internet from the same modem i have time warner roadrunner, but they dont help at all that stupid robot just kept saying "were busy, goodbye" so i really have no idea what it could be any ideas would be fantastic thanks :) |

Is your router saying your internet is connected in the configuration page?

So, you're through a modem via a ethernet cable. So it would come up as a Local Area Connection.
Check that the network settings and DNS are set to automatic. Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Right Click on 'Local Area Connection', Properties, Internet Protocol TCP/IP. Check that both the IP and DNS are obtained automatically. |
