I went out eeralier and shut it down and got back ,switched it on and the bar at the botton has changed to another colour, internet is not connected although internet is working fine as I am on kids desktop. I tried to check the connection status but I can't it says "the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.". Wndows cannot find any networks. When I view networks. PLease I need to get this working soon to continure my essay and also all day coz of my business i am unable to come to the desktop ...i will go mad without my laptop.

Also when i try to turn on the network discovery the Network and sharing Center says the dependency service group failed to start. In networs diagnostics windows cannot resolve the problem.

Tried restarting? Sounds silly but that solves most network problems.

Also turn your router of for 2 mins then power back up.

And this is running wireless via a built in adaptor?

Have you disabled it, normally by pressing the switch on you laptop, all the new ones have them, have a look around the outside for a button or switch.

Failing that what happens when you right click the computer icon, then "connect to network".

Do you see any networks listed?

Yes i disabled it as you instructed its the same when i try to connect. Right clicked on connect to network. There is a box that appears and a message within it reads "windows cannot find any networks."
