My router is working fine as i have connected to it on my mobile phone.

I meant if you had disabled it by mistake, not that you should. It obviously needs to be enabled. The right click and "connect to network"

If nothing shows I would have to say it simply isn't picking up a signal, it appears to be installed correct.

How far are you from the router? Are you 100% the router is putting out a signal? Can you login to your router and make sure wireless is enabled?

Right now I am right next to the router. How do I log in to my router to make sure wireless is enabled?

Connect via cable, then open IE and enter your routers IP in the address bar.

Who do you get your Internet through?

HI .....thanks for your help and computers are soooooo wierd. The laptop seems to have sorted itself out don't ask me how it just has. I turned it off last time on sunday and monday PM switched it on and its ok ...there a few things like the volume icon had gone i managed to get it back but nothing serious. Phew!!!!!
