I restarted my modem and router today and when I turned on my pc my connection was out. I tried to call my friend who knows this stuff but my phone line was out too. My friend told me to plug the modem directly into my pc. When I did that I got internet but my phone is still not working.

I have a verison fios modem and a linksys router.
Any ideas on how to get my phone on again?

You MUST have a ADSL filter on every phone point in your house with a phone plugged into it, lounge, bedroom etc.

If you already do, rotate the filter to find which one is faulty.
