| Try a different ethernet card and see if that fixes the problem - it's the last thing I can think of.

| What happens when you enter the routers IP address into the address bar? Start - Run - type in CMD Type in ipconfig /all Right click and click Select All Then press Enter That will copy the information to the Windows Clipboard. Come back to this forum and in a new reply right click and select Paste

| Here's a bit of new info I did this morning. But yeah, I don't have the router plugged in. When I type my modems ip address in the address bar, I get the modem settings. | Remove domain.invalid from your Domain Name field seen in the fist screenshot. Change lease time to infinite. Enter these two as your DNS servers: 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 And judging by this screenshot: http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/9...1234567dg1.png You haven't set up your connection properly in the modem. So as linked previously, follow the steps here to set up your connection. |

| Alright, changed the DNS to those ip's. No change. Fixed the account settings in 10.1.1.1 No change. I type into google "domain.invalid ipconfig" and every single forum page that came up was to do with my modem or the newer model of it... and Siemens charge $150 every 15 minutes for tech support. |

| Hi again. I am aware you also had a thread at TechGuy and JohnWill is as baffled am - he has way more experience than me. You may have noticed we have both suggested pretty much the same thing ![]() I didn't reply earlier because what MJM had said was correct. I really think that this is actually a problem with your ISP. I don't know what else I can suggest - you say you have tried a different modem. Saying that - how do you connect to your ISP? I assume it is by PPPoE, but looking at the screenshots you posted, it would appear you haven't even set PPP up?

| Well I got a brand new modem, but it was the same type. I just borrowed my friends Netcomm modem today, but I don't know what the modem's Ip is. I do connect via PPoE, and I agree, it doesn't look like it's set up. I have everything set to default, I put in my username and password, but it says "Not Trained" I've followed the instructions on the optus page and the Siemens page, and nothing. Anyone know the Modem Ip Address of Netcomm modems? lol I've prolly spoken to my ip about 13 times now, and they keep telling me that it's my fault, that my windows is corrupted and there is nothing they can do. But yeah, I was DDoSed attacked a few months ago, and they hacked my modem, I don't know if this is why, but I reformatted after that and got a brand new modem of the same one, and got the same error. This is really quite rediculous. |

| The ridiculous part is that we can't figure it out. Netcomm as far as I know uses 192.168.1.1 as default, with default login often being admin/admin, but without a specific model I cannot be sure. |

| Okay, connected the netcomm, went to 192.168.1.1, and put in my username settings etc, and nothing. Instead of saying "Domain.Invalid" it says nothing. But when I was looking at the settings, it said the same "not trained" thing in the netcomm settings. And I followed all the instructions and it's all set up fine. Like, if I can get internet from someone elses house, but not from mine, that means it's the isp! And they won't help me, saying it's my computers fault. |

| Call your ISP. Make sure that they send a technician. They have to send one if you can't figure it out. Be sure to get it for free - you just formatted your PC and bought a new router or two just to try if you could connect. If they come back with anything, tell them that you have tried it, no matter what it is. |
