| I bet you would have a lot of people trying to hack your internet connection if you changed your wireless SSID (name that everyone sees for your wireless network) to Penis. lol.

| Hello all, I stumbled upon this thread via a Google search (#2) and wanted to post my solution as I'm sure others will do the same in the future. I was experiencing the same exact problem as the original poster described. I'm studying Information Technology and consider myself pretty knowledgeable in the area and this problem had me pulling my hair out for about a week. My internet lagged, wouldn't connect to the router, ect... ipconfig would reveal DNS: domain_not_set.invalid ^^ I thought that had to be the problem. So I manually configured the router and Windows' TCP/IP settings no to avail. I was able to connect fine when running Ubuntu, just not Windows. Turns out my problem was with my firewall. To fix this problem, add the router's IP address to the "Trusted" list of IPs. Internet has been working perfect ever since. Hope this helps anyone with future problems. Feel free to messege me for a more detailed fix. |
