| There are 3 computers in my house, 1 is linked up to the router, this one is linked up to the router via ethernet cable, and the other one is wireless. Recently I moved the 3rd computer from downstairs, to upstairs in the next bedroom. Following this, like a day later, the internet just decided to slow down alot, its sort of on an off, it is fast then really slow etc. Anything to do with bandwidth? or my router? |

| Such programs eat bandwidth and cause very slow browsing, they are also a sure fire way of getting spyware and viruses which again cause slow PCs and Internet. I would suggest following this guide then posting the relevant log files in the virus forum to rule that out. http://www.computer-juice.com/forums...-posting-7476/ |

| Also, what ISP are you with? some (like virgin) slow the connection down at peak times if you go over a set download limit.

| The downstream is really low, appears to be 0.7 of a MB, as all 3 PCs seem to be the same I would call your ISP and get them to check it out, it's either your router or phone line / exchange not the PCs. Are you out of town by any chance? |
