I have been interested in these for a while now, not knowing much about them and knowing they cost a whopping 150 pounds i wasn't in any rush to buy one.

But, today my friend's father had one in his store that he ordered around 3 months ago but could not sell.

So he gave it to me for 20 pounds, bargain!

So when i got home i put it all in, great lets start this up.
Lets start with a little Crysis:

Without Killer network Card:

Resolution: 1680x1050
Graphics: Default Very High
Average FPS: 37

With Killer network Card:

Average FPS: 34

-------------------------
Alright thats weird, never mind, lets play some WoW!
-------------------------

Without Killer network Card:

Resolution: 1680x1050
Graphics: All maxed.
Average FPS in Ironforge on a busy afternoon: 135
Average MS (ping): 54

With Killer network Card:

Average FPS that same day in Ironforge: 143
Average MS (ping): 61

---------------------
A slight improvement yes? Maybe..
Or maybe people just left..?
--------------------

So later that evening i plucked up enough strength to try again, and again, and again and again.
But it just does not work!

I have tried with:
BF2
WoW
Crysis
Oblivion
Assassin's Creed PC
Gears of War
WarRock ( As listed on the website )
BioShock
Counter-strike Source

And it does not increase my FPS one bit.

Apart from hiccup's and freeze it does help slightly in BF2.
But not much, i could not see a difference.

---------------------
If you are actually willing to shred out this much money, atleast try it before you buy.
You can get a top-of-the-range Graphics card for the same price.

Thanks -Eltoc

I didn't actually thing a network card would increase the frame rate much (if at all) if there was any improvement for it, I would say it would the the ping, because if it can process the data faster than an onbaord network card, there would be less delay.

Any purchase that decreases your bandwidth to the benefit of the rest of us is money well spent!

My "up to 8mbps" went down to 0.1mbps briefly yesterday but rapidly recovered again to 6.5mbps when you put your card in...

Eltoc you have a Killer rig and now a Killer network card.lol
If I was you however I would sell that GTS and that insanely overpriced Network Card and buy a better graphics card.
Gaining a few FPS from a network card will be nothing compared to the increase in FPS from a better GPU.
Edit:Sorry didnt read the last bit of your post.Still though you should be able to get a nice few quid for the network card and upgrade huh?

I did just what you said, sold the network card online for 90 quid :P what a profit for a piece of junk.

But, at the minute i don't think i will be upgrading my GPU.
I can max any game yet and most of those games i never play. I've played Crysis once but never got into it, i found it repetitive all the way through. But thats me.

I think i will be upgrading to the 9800 Gx2 in the months to come but i just bent my mum's arm for 1,600 pounds which i just spent on the new alienware m15x.

Specs in sig :P
