Default lost internet on network

Hi guys (again) by mistake i pulled the ethernet cable out of the back of my belkin wireless router, needlesss to say when i reconected it i lost the ability to pick up the internet on my laptop. After searching a few forums the answer was to reset the router and start again. I did this but now my laptop asks for the wpa psk password to be entered and after entering this (which i know is right because i set it) it still says unable to connect......any ideas?

Default lost internet on network

Password is wrong.

Connect to the router first using a ethernet cable and program it.

The instructions explain how to do this.

Done what you suggested Dave, no joy, so ive unpluged everything and started from fresh, even to the point of running the install c.d and resetting the router to factory default. The result is internet on desktop no problem but my laptop will only connect to local. Windows suggests a few things to try but to no avail. Desktop is xp and laptop is vista, dont know what to do as it has been working fine untill the cable was pulled out.

yes, everything literally as if i,d just took it out of the box................ahhh after reading the instructions again (this time from page 1 instead of page 2) it mentions disabling firewalls and protection software whilst installing. I,ll try that and report..
