Alright guys, im new here and im looking for abit of advice..

Right.. Rather long explanation on what I want to do but here goes.....

Well by the end of christmas I want my own media hub. This is an image of what im trying to get at:

So, could I have a usb hub type thing, plugged into my drive, then splitting off into 2 cables one into the pc and one into the xbox.. or would I have to buy an RJ45 and basically a network drive?

Hi,

Do you have a router, and if so, is it wireless?

In which case, there's no other hardware you need to buy. You can stream the files off your computer, wirelessly via the Xbox to your TV.

If you want to use a USB drive, pulg that into your computer and share from there.

If you want to splash out, buy a network drive and you can share the files from there.
