I plan travelling around the U.K. for long periods with a touring caravan. I am not a whiz kid regards computers, but am wondering whether I could access the internet via Pay as You Go. I am also wondering whether I would be able to access forums such as this, chat rooms, and use a web cam. Any information and costs would be appreciated please.

If you plan to stay in the UK i believe you can get a 3G USB adapter from 3. This might help.

I use Vodafone's Top Up and Go .
The USB Modem Stick costs £39.00 and includes 1GB of usage. Top Ups are then £15 per 1GB. Vodafone say that's good 30 hours surfing, 650 emails and dozens of downloads. I got mine in December and only use it occasionally and I still have £12 left on mine.
There is no contract & no expiry date on topups, you just use it as you want.

For occasional use, it works out fine and works wherever you can get a Vodafone signal. Only works in the UK though, so no good if you're thinking of taking it abroad.
Speed varies, depending on signal strength, but for emails and general surfing etc., it's pretty decent.
