Hey, Long time reader here but this is my first actual post not 100% sure if its the right place. Sorry if it's not.
I'm using a BT homehub version 1 and have been for say the last 3/4 years now I think. It has been fine for long enough untill recentally the internet connection will cycle itself on and off, sometimes It is fine for hours on end and then it will Need resetting 6/7 times in an hour. I constantally have to go to Network & Sharing > View Status > Diagnose > Reset the NIC Card to get anything out of it. Im not sure if its relevent but the connection itself is wireless and dropped from an average of 600 KB/s to 10-20 KB/s and has only recentally climed up to 100 KB/s when downloading. I use NetMeter to watch the In/Out. Dell Inspiron 1520, Inter(R) Core(TM) Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00GHz 2.00GHz, 2.00 GB RAM, 32 bit OS. Any help would be wonderful, I usualy use the computer for online gaming mostly WoW however when browsing the internet by itself without any game running it usualy does not d/c as often. When this Happens under the "Network and sharing center" It shows My laptop being connected to the "BTHomeHub" but the HomeHuB is not connected to the internet, alot of the time it fixes itself within afew seconds or not at all and I have to do the above to get it working again. Any help would be awesome thanks. |
