XP HE laptop (netgear WG111T) 98 SE desktop (cabled) Vista desktop (soon) Dell A920 printer (USB to laptop) HP 610c printer (98 desktop) first of all you must no that when its working everything works this isnt a dodgy printer cable or anything like that. 1. Sometimes I can connect to the internet and the rest of the network, which is great. 2. Usually I can connect to the network but not the internet, not great. 3. Quite a lot I can connect to nothing, windows wireless connection icon comes up as limited connectivity, what it really means is none. 1. is fine no problems there, everthing working 2. is a problem with the DNS server and the Key Ports 3. is a problem with the Internet Protocol Its setup to automatically search for these settings, I think if i manually enter them it will connect straight away (on 3. give it a bit and it will turn on 2. is longer) but i dont no how to find these settings? so what im asking is how do i find out: IP address Subnet Mask Default Gateway Preferred DNS server Alternate DNS server thanks in advance for your help :D My System: FordyPC

| Rebooting the router and PCs would normally sort any limited connectivity issues. It's quite normal for things to just stop working, a reboot is normally all it takes.

Type CMD Type Ipconfig/all This will give you plenty of details. If you are connected to a router inputting the details for default gateway in your browsers search bar will give you access to your routers settings where you can find your actual IP address as opposed to the routers IP. And that right there is the limit of my understanding of networking!! ![]() My System: Krlll
