I have a problem and if any would help, it would be greatly appreciated. My problem is that i have a wmp54gs that is trying to connect to a wrt54g. My computer is able to connect to the network but the internet. I have the latest drivers and firmware on both products. I cannot ping the router at 192.168.1.1 from my computer. The other two computers can connect just fine, one wireless and one wired. I have tried using a static ip with no success. Also I have tried to only install the driver on my computer also with no success. I have disable my anti-virus programs in hopes that they were blocking the path, but again with no hope. The router is configured to be open with no encryption. The dhcp server is also running on the router. The adapter worked fine until I upgraded my computer with a new motherboard, processor and ram. Doing this caused me to reinstall the drivers for the wireless network adapter and other items. My problem seems to be that the router is not giving me a ip adress. I did the network troubleshooter in windows xp pro sp2 (hoping for a answer), it said that the dhcp server was up and running, which I know is untrue because the other computers get ips just fine. If anyone can give me any kind of help, I would greatly appreciate it, Thank You

Have you put your ISP settings into the router?
