hi i have this toshiba satellite laptop and i bring it with me to my work. apparently my workplace is in a huge basement, and my builtin wireless card in laptop doesnt seem to be finding any connection. the library is around 100 feet away and it doesnt even catch library's wireless connection.
i was planning on buying a wireless usb that gives further range. i wanted to know if its worth to buy wireless usb and if that would work from that basement. if yes then which one should i buy that gives long range thanks for ur time. |

Ok well it depends how far the wireless router is to where you are trying to connect this is what I would reccomend, depending on if your connection is adsl or dsl these a couple of options to get the desired wirless network.
here they are: DSL > www.pcworld.com/shopping/detail/prtprdid,91550689-sortby,retailer/pricing.html ADSL > www.pcworld.com/shopping/detail/prtprdid,2905665-sortby,retailer/pricing.html Ok the adsl option is to get a secondary one and then hard wire the connection of it to another part of your work very easy to do connect with a 15 m ethernet (cat5) cable and then setup the wireless network from that access point. If you have a DSL conenction the first option should be enough seeing as it has to high signal attenies. |

Or you could purchase 500 mbs lan adaptor card, but I would only reccomend paying for this if you acctualy have a conenction to network bt very poor.
