 netgear rangemax wireless router wpn824v2. help please hi i bought a netgear range max wireless router wpn824v2 today and have set it up as wire to the main computer and will be getting a laptop for Christmas and would be using wireless for the laptop. anyway i am using it now on the main computer(wired) and the little light that represents the internet port on the router is flashing orange and i think it is supposed to be green. please tell me why it is flashing orange and not green and please a way i can fix this. by the way I'm using big pond cable internet connection. the router is also making my internet go a lot slower (it is so bad i cant play any games atm) then when it was just the modem and I'm the only one using the internet.my modem i have is a its a Motorola sb5100 surfboard cable modem. the little light for the wireless is flashing green and the internet port one is orange. please please please help me i appreciate all the help i get very very much. please please please help me ive tried 5 forums so far and havent got a reply please help me this is very urgent. all your help is very very appreciated       |

| netgear rangemax wireless router wpn824v2. help please Have you tried updating the firmware to the latest version (2.0.10) Are you sure you mean the internet LED? Because I don't think that that's meant to be orange. I think however, that it does flash when it is ADSL/connection training. Basically, it is trying to determine the highest speed it will be able to get to your ISP. Once it's done that it should be OK. Last edited by mbonwick : 21-12-2007 at 04:17 PM. |
