I have recently installed one of the above routers so that I could use my cable connection on my PSP and when friends came round with their laptops.

On the PC I use NetMeter to monitor how much data is transferred, top speeds etc. I was wondering, is there any similar software I could use to monitor all traffic (including that from PSP and other devices on wireless)?

Cheers,

David

you should be ale to access the routers ip address through internet explorer on the main pc by going to 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. then login to te router and see logs. this should show some data. if not. try looking at wireless section and looking at connectivity among other devices and click that device and it should show the transferes etc

Using the method you described I can only see what domains have been accessing what sites. What I would like is how much data has been used per month etc. From what I can see I can't find that within the router admin.

Anyone know of any software that could do this? Or merton, have I missed something? (probably lol)

you are probably right. because all routers are different and its a hard subject to give direct instructions. if you want to keep track of downloads and usage i dont know of any software but i am sure there is one out there, it just may take some ime searching

Thanks for the help anyway merton123. There probably will be somewhere but I've tried a few different searches and cant find anything as of yet.

Hopefully someone on here will know what I'm looking for and know the solution or I'll find something eventually.

Thanks again.

David
