Hi,
i am quite new to computers. The internet in my home constantly disconnects, and the owner refuses to change it because its really cheap (talk talk). I want to get a network card which uses a different ISP altogether.. for my laptop. my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1501 with Wifi. But im not sure about any of the specifications.

http://www.dell.com/content/products...=19&l=en&s=dhs

This website will be of use, if you understand the whole hardware software specifications business :P

Does anybody know of anywhere where i can purchase a network card to suit my laptop, please. Also, im a student, quite... limited with my money, but i can scrounge some for a one-off, so any places who sell them cheaply?
Please reply if you have any information.
Thankyou in advance

What Internet Service Provider are you going with? So, your saying your going to get your own internet? If so, you would need a wireless router and a Wireless are for you laptop (if it doesnt have one built in) and a wireless card for your desktop as well. what country do you live in? (so i can look for a good card for a good price for you) do you plan to be doing some internet gaming? if you are it will cost a wee bit more.

Well basically, you cant get an adapter which uses a different ISP. You would have to buy a package straight frm the ISP and replace the TalkTalk one. SO it wouldn't be a one-off fee you're paying, but a monthly one.
